Sen. Richard Blumenthal said recent protests in Ukraine show “democracy in action,” and called on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to remain committed to transparency and anti-corruption efforts. “I hope President Zelenskyy will continue to adhere to the principles of transparency and the fight against corruption.

President Volodymyr Zelensky reversed course, but it is unclear if that will quell the anger that erupted when he stripped anticorruption agencies of independence.
