With the 43rd pick of the 2025 MLB Draft, Clemson Tigers outfielder/catcher Cam Cannarella has been selected by the Miami Marlins. Last season, Cannarella was the Tigers’ top offensive player, leading the team in batting average (.353), hits and slugging percentage (.530).

Shortstop Dax Kilby, who had signed with the Tigers out of Newnan High School in Georgia, was the first player with Clemson ties to be selected in the draft. Kilby was ranked as the No. 62 overall prospect by MLB.com but was drafted well ahead of that projection by the Yankees with the 39th overall pick.
