Fox Sports and Dave Portnoy already had a common goal before they became partners: Sticking it to ESPN. On Thursday, Fox Sports and Barstool Sports officially announced their new partnership, which will include owner Dave Portnoy joining Big Noon Kickoff and other Barstool content on FS1.

“Van Talk” ended abruptly due in part to previous comments made by Katz and Barstool founder Dave Portnoy about then-ESPNer Sam Ponder, and former-ESPN president John Skipper later said that the network wasn’t able to distance itself from the Barstool brand as much as it wanted.
Portnoy and Barstool Sports are expected to play a part in FS1's coverage in the near future. Front Office Sports' Ryan Glasspiegel reported that Portnoy is nearing a deal with the channel that would see him join its college football pregame program, "Big Noon Kickoff."
