Amanda Anisimova thanked her mother for flying to London to watch her play in the Wimbledon final and for all of her help through the years.

After an early exit at her favorite Slam last month, Swiatek rebounded on her worst surface to take the Wimbledon title.

Anisimova never regained the momentum seized early in her semifinals match with Aryna Sabalenka and was bothered by nerves early, dropping the first service game of the match to quickly fall behind after making three unforced errors.

Swiatek had a 6-0, 6-0 victory Saturday in the first women's final at the tournament in 114 years in which one player failed to claim a single game.
