Lionel Messi continued to make history on Saturday, extending his MLS-record streak of multigoal games as he scored twice in Inter Miami's 2-1 win over Nashville SC. Messi had already claimed the record last week when becoming the first player in MLS history to score multiple goals in four straight league games.

Nashville SC headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in hopes of keeping its 15-game unbeaten streak alive. But the streak had to stop at some point, and it did July 12 in front of the Inter Miami fans at Chase Stadium, where two goals from Lionel Messi pushed Inter Miami past Nashville SC 2-1.
