Marvel Rivals is the new hero shooter that launched in December and has been a big hit among gamers. As the game winds up for Marvel Rivals Season 1, in a few days, players will get their first look at Marvel's most iconic superhero team, the Fantastic Four.

The Marvel Universe as we know it started in 1961 with the debut of the Fantastic Four, so it's only fitting that the first post-launch heroes for Marvel Rivals are coming from the first family of superheroes.

Confirming the first of many Marvel Rivals characters to come, developer NetEase Games announced that the Fantastic Four are headed to the hero shooter soon. "Get ready to welcome Marvel’s First family in Marvel Rivals," a fresh tweet reads, teasing the hero art pictured above. "Trailer on January 6th at 8:00 AM PST / 16:00 UTC. Be there."

Monday, January 6 will be the day that Marvel Rivals pulls the curtain back on its Season 1 plans, making it a particularly exciting day for fans of the game. Marvel Rivals has already found a great deal of success in Season 0, with the free-to-play shooter earning strong reviews and drawing in millions of players.

Adding four characters for the game’s first season seems wild, but NetEase may as well strike while the iron is hot. The crazy thing is that tons more characters are also on the way, with Blade and Ultron already confirmed, and the likes of Captain Marvel and Deadpool heavily rumoured.
