New York-based Krasniy Oktyabr Inc. USA is recalling a fish product after it was found by inspectors to be uneviscerated, posing a risk of botulism poisoning.

Prestige Consumer Healthcare Inc. issued a voluntary recall for more than 10,000 cases of honey cough syrup on June 17.

Over 20,000 pounds of Kayem Foods Inc. ready-to-eat chicken sausage products are being recalled after it was reported as having plastic pieces. Kayem Foods, established in Chelsea, Massachusetts, said in a statement that the fully cooked chicken sausage item was produced on June 28.

When a potential hazardous material finds its way into a food product, companies alert consumers to the issue. Recently, one yogurt brand voluntarily recalled its popular line, and shoppers need to check their containers.

The FDA, on its website in 2019: "Salmonella can be spread by food handlers who do not wash their hands and/or the surfaces and tools they use between food preparation steps, and when people eat raw or undercooked foods. Salmonella can also spread from animals to people.

Danone is recalling its popular YoCrunch products at retail stores nationwide after learning it could contain plastic pieces.

The Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of two types of sprouted beans because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The recall affects frozen Deep Spouted Mat (Moth) and Deep Sprouted Moong. Both came in 16-ounce bags, the FDA said. They were sold nationwide.
