Flooding caused delays on multiple New York City subway lines Monday as torrential rain pummeled the Tri-State Area.
One of AMC’s most popular Manhattan locations is temporarily closed after heavy rains in the city caused flooding in its Lincoln Square theater. A spokesperson for the theater chain said the downpour on Monday night caused damage to a “roof pipe.

Storms prompted flash flood warnings across the New York City metropolitan area Monday night, with photos showing severe flooding across the city and in parts of New York state and New Jersey.
Roads and streets, meanwhile, are likely to flood during the downpour, said the Office of Emergency Management’s advisory. Flooded roads could spell trouble for the city’s bus riders and drivers. The city warned motorists not to drive through flooded roads.
