The New York Jets' search for a new head coach seemingly grows longer by the minute. There are 12 candidates and counting that have been reported to have already interviewed or have interviews on the books with the Jets as of Monday afternoon.

Ryan had been the head coach the last time the Jets made a postseason appearance and under his reign, the Jets made back-to-back AFC Championship Game appearances in 2009 and 2010. He was fired after the 2014 season when the team went 4-12.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Jets have requested an interview with 49ers quarterbacks coach Brian Griese for their head coach opening.
