Most spots in West Michigan and the southern tier of the Lower Peninsula saw between an inch and 1.5 inches of rain fall in Sunday’s system. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Grand Rapids issued a rain map this afternoon, showing Sunday’s totals.

Denver will see sunshine and highs in the upper 50s Sunday with high winds and fire danger on Monday, while the mountains have winter weather advisories and warnings according to meteorologist Dayle Cedars.

Strong wind gusts picking up dust were expected to trigger areas of poor visibility along Colorado’s plains Monday as weather forecasters warned power outages and downed tree branches were possible across the eastern portion of the state through the day.

High winds across the Front Range will lead to near-critical fire weather along all of I-25. While this is going on, snow will be dumping across I-70 with winds to 50MPH creating treacherous travel.

Colorado is expected to experience a mild Sunday with temperatures 10-15 degrees above normal, but a strong jet stream overhead will bring a busy weather day on Monday with high wind and a threat for wildfires due to extreme fire weather conditions.
