After two outings (23.0 points, 4.0 steals per game), the Rockets are shutting down Reed Sheppard for the remainder of the NBA’s 2025 summer league.

"Yeah, we want him to play on the ball," Lakers assistant and Vegas Summer League coach Lindsay Harding said, according to Brad Turner of The Los Angeles Times. "Especially in tight moments, I like the ball in his hands and I want him to make those decisions."

With the NBA Summer League now in full swing, multiple former Longhorns are battling for roster spots. That includes Arthur Kaluma, who signed with the Los Angeles Lakers shortly following the NBA Draft. While the Lakers roster is full of talent, Kaluma has impressed over the last week.
