The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is asking people who live in the Narrows Subdivision to shelter in place Tuesday morning.Around 8 a.m., the SCSO says they arrived to the subdivision after a man in his 70s and his son in his mid 40s barricaded themselves in a home.

The incident began at about 8 a.m. when deputies were serving what Shelby County Sheriff John Samaniego described as a "mental pickup order" on a man in his early 70s at a home in the 200 block of Narrows Drive.
