PROVIDENCE – A 4-year-old girl has died after she and her mother were struck by a vehicle in Woonsocket, R.I., earlier this week, police said Wednesday. Eliza was brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence with critical injuries, Oates said. She died on Tuesday evening, police said.

The pedestrians were walking on Hamlet Avenue near the Hamlet Middle School when a vehicle traveling on the road lost control of the vehicle, struck a snowbank and the pedestrians, police said.
