Starbucks is increasing its return-to-office requirement to four days a week from three, CEO Brian Niccol said on Monday.
CEO Brian Niccol is cracking down on work from home, ordering Starbucks employees to return to the office four days a week or take a buyout.
That change is expected to being within the new fiscal year which kicks off on October 1. As for those in a remote work setting, that will also be coming to an end. In February the company asked all "vp+ leaders" to begin relocating to Seattle or Toronto and will be extending that requirement to all support center leaders.
Starbucks will not require individual workers to relocate, but hiring for new positions or lateral moves within the company will come with an in-person requirement.
