The new TNA World Champion, Joe Hendry, is talking a big game since winning the title at TNA Genesis on Sunday night. In a post-title win interview with Busted Open Radio, Hendry spoke on possibly wrestling John Cena and said that he could hang with Cena in a promo battle on the microphone.

This idea isn't as far-fetched as it might've seemed until recently. WWE just announced a key working partnership with TNA that'll see talent cross the divide on both sides. Realistically, more TNA workers will show up on programming like NXT than the other way around, but nothing should be ruled out.

Joe Hendry captured the TNA World Title at TNA Genesis, defeating Nic Nemeth in the main event. As the reigning champion, Hendry will now have the target on his back, but before challengers start lining up to face him, he has his sights set on one of the top names in wrestling history.

Less than 24 hours after being crowned the new TNA World Champion, Hendry appeared as a guest on Monday’s edition of Busted Open Radio.

That's right, in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Nic Nemeth effectively called out Cena to take his talents to TNA for a one-time rematch in the Impact Zone, marking his first appearance outside of WWE in over two decades.
