The Supreme Court could decide in late September whether to hear Ghislaine Maxwell's appeal of her 2021 sex trafficking conviction.
Maxwell would refuse to answer questions about Epstein while her case remains pending, but “would be willing—and eager—to testify openly and honestly, in public” if Trump pardons her, her lawyer said.
If those demands are not met, her lawyers said, Maxwell would “have no choice but to invoke her Fifth Amendment rights.”
Maxwell is serving 20 years in prison for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors. Critics are calling on the Trump to release more information.
"I'm allowed to give her a pardon but nobody's approached me with it," Trump said. "It's in the news…but right now it would be inappropriate to talk about it."
