Brad Marchand was clearly not at his best in the Bruins’ 6-5 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. He had trouble handling the puck most of the afternoon and was slow to close on Josh Norris before the Senator scored the tying goal with 12 seconds left in regulation.
Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak issued a bold reminder to captain Brad Marchand and interim coach Joe Sacco, along with the rest of the team after an infuriating loss to the Ottawa Senators.
Marchand generated one goal and one assist in a 6-3 win against the Sharks on Monday. Marchand had the secondary helper on the first of Charlie Coyle's two third-period goals before scoring one of Boston's two empty-netters.
With the Sharks trailing 2-1 midway through the second period, Smith poked the puck off the stick of Jonathan Beecher to himself in the neutral zone, worked a give-and-go with Mikael Granlund, and beat Bruins goalie Joonas Korpisalo with a wrist shot to the short side.
