Elon Musk’s rocket launch site Starbase, home to his California-born company SpaceX, is on its way to becoming a Texas city after a small group of voters — mostly SpaceX workers — overwhelmingly approved it.

"Starbase, Texas, is now a real city," said Elon Musk after a vote decided the future of his SpaceX workplace.

Starbase may sound like some sort of galactic outpost located in the far reaches of space, but in fact, it's just the newest city in Texas.
