For weeks, the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes have revolved around just a few NFL teams, including the quarterback's former longtime NFC North rival, the Minnesota Vikings. With the four-time MVP reportedly inching toward a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers,
“I think Aaron is secretly still holding out for Minnesota—which is why he hasn’t signed with the Steelers," Roethlisberger said on his podcast, “Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger. Why else would you go throw with DK and working out, and blast it to everybody that ‘I’m throwing to these guys,’ but you won’t sign?”
Speaking to The Athletic's Mike Sando, one league executive said they "can’t think of a worse combination" for Rodgers than playing with DK Metcalf, George Pickens and working with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
