Two people were killed at a Kentucky church after a gunman who earlier shot and wounded a state trooper fled there, according to local police.

A gunman shot a state trooper during a traffic stop, carjacked a vehicle then drove to a church where he killed two women and wounded 2 men on Sunday, Lexington police said.

Two people were killed and three others were injured, including a state trooper, in a series of shootings in Kentucky on July 13, authorities said.
