Napheesa Collier scored a record 36 points to help her team beat Team Clark 151-131 in the WNBA All-Star Game that was devoid of defense and full of 4-point shots.

The name of the new WNBA team should be the Detroit Spirit. It's an obvious homage to the Spirit of Detroit statue, but it also captures the pride and comradery of Detroiters that has helped the city rise back up in recent times. Without it, the WNBA would not be returning to the city.

Players on Team Clark and Team Collier warmed up for Saturday night’s WNBA All-Star Game in shirts that read “Pay us what you owe us.”

INDIANAPOLIS – As WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert held a press conference in the depths of Gainbridge Fieldhouse ahead of Saturday night’s All-Star game, players used their pre-game warmups as a chance to send a message. “Pay us what you owe us,” the T-shirts worn by each player read.

The league is set to rake in hundreds of millions of dollars from expansion fees and a new media rights deal. And the players' union is pushing for a new contract to change a legacy of low pay.

More than 25 different countries and territories were represented at the camp with players coming from as far as Japan and Australia.
