With Aaron Nesmith back from a sprained left ankle, the Pacers are approaching a tough decision between him and Bennedict Mathurin at small forward.

The Indiana Pacers swingman missed 2 1/2 months with an ankle injury before returning on Jan. 16, 2025, against the Detroit Pistons.

Lost in the fold of a dramatic game was wing Aaron Nesmith, who made his return after missing all of November and December with an injury. Nesmith started but played only nine minutes. However, he scored an efficient nine points and brought some needed defense against Cade Cunningham.

Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton and forward Aaron Nesmith are available for Thursday's game. Nesmith has been out since Nov. 1.

Nesmith is not starting Saturday against the 76ers, Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith's return from a left ankle sprain was a reminder of how easily he fits in the Pacers' style of play.

According to recent reports, the Indiana Pacers have held trade talks for forward Aaron Nesmith. So far this season, Nesmith has averaged 9.1 points, 3.6 total

Nesmith (ankle) is available for Thursday's game versus the Pistons but be on a minutes restriction, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports. Nesmith will return to action Thursday after missing Indiana's previous 35 contests due to a left ankle sprain.
