An arrest was made for the shooting of a U.S. Border Patrol agent shot during a traffic stop in Vermont, according to the FBI.

Vermont State Police said they have found the driver responsible for hitting a child with his vehicle over the weekend. The Westminster barracks said 61-year-old David Knapp of Vernon was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Accent that hit a student who was getting off of a school bus on Friday in Vernon.

Southbound Monday night, after a reported crash involving a police cruiser. It happened just after 6 p.m. Police said Jacob Fox was on duty. Fox was operating his marked state police cruiser when he merged into the open portion of the on-ramp to follow a suspect vehicle that had left the scene.
