An Arizona special election primary Tuesday to replace the late Rep. Raúl Grijalva is the latest flare-up of the Democratic Party’s clashes over age and experience.

Pima County Supervisor Adelita Grijalva secured the Democratic nomination on Tuesday for the special election in Arizona for her late father’s seat, giving her a clear path to victory in the deep blue district.

Adelita Grijalva won the primary to succeed her father in Southern Arizona’s Congressional District 7 with 62% of votes
