Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Casey Mize is expected to be named to the 2025 American League All-Star team, his first selection.

CLEVELAND — Jake Rogers has caught Casey Mize since 2019. He was there when Mize arrived at his first spring training as the toast of town. He was behind the plate when Mize fired a 98-pitch no-hitter in his Double-A debut.

Mize joins superstars Tarik Skubal, Riley Greene and Gleyber Torres as well as fellow resurgent comeback stories Javier Báez and Zach McKinstry in Atlanta as All-Stars.
