John McEnroe has been a mainstay of the BBC's Wimbledon coverage for over two decades - and while he may be a polarising figure, his colleagues have a lot of time for him

A bemused John McEnroe struggled to get his head around how to pronounce Derby while discussing Wimbledon live on the radio. The former tennis star was introducing a listener, who happened to come from the city, on his 6-Love-6 show on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

During his heyday in the 1980s, McEnroe won tennis' oldest and most prestigious tournament three times and lost in the finals twice. McEnroe was back at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club this year to call the action for the BBC, including Saturday's women's singles final between Poland's Iga Swiatek and America's Amanda Anisimova.
